The Western Moose in the famous 'Moose Island' area of Central BC, after which our company is named, are the largest subspecies of moose (a.k.a. 'Alces alces' their latin name) this side of Alaska.

Book a guided hunt with expert outfitters in Moose Island's densely moose populated area of approximately 450 sq. miles and discover what exclusive, big game hunting really means.
For 2011, we will be offering 12 hunts for moose over a one month time period. Each exciting, fully outfitted hunt is are 8 days in length. The high success rate is around 75%. Antler size of 50 inches is not uncommon. Trophy moose with antlers as big as 60 inches have been taken out of this area.
BC Moose Hunting Details
Expert guided moose hunting is done by boat, 4X4, use of stands, and spot and stalk. We have a good selection of small moose lakes with stands or boats as well as numerous clear cuts where a spot and stalk hunt for the moose of your lifetime would take place. Moose Island Outfitters Hunts Include:
Guides, meals and accommodations, transportation with in the guide area, field preparation and preservation of capes and trophies Capeing of trophies is available on a fee for service basis.
Moose Island Outfitters hunts do not include:
Cost of licenses, tags, Government fees or tax, transportation to Lodge or to designated boat pick up location, alcoholic beverages, taxidermy costs beyond skinning and caping, shipping of trophies or meat to the hunter’s final destination.
We will be happy to arrange transportation from Prince George BC to the lodge or boat pick up location on a fee for service basis.
Hunter Responsibility:
Hunter transportation and other travel costs to pick up location, gun and ammo, optics, personal gear, sleeping bag and game bags. A list of recommended clothing, equipment and personal items will be provided with the booking package
